Current Favourite Nail Polish Colour

As I was scrolling through twitter the other day I came across one of bluecrush961's blog posts which inspired me to do this one.
At the moment I've really been enjoying to wear a range of blue nail polishes. I think the colour is perfect for the weather right now as they seem to match the perfect blue, clear skies.

From left to right:
BarryM in the shade NP 317...
I haven't tried this nail varnish out yet however it's colour is my most favourite out of them all as it's a beautiful pastel blue.
Ticket to gorgeous nails kiss me quick nail polish...
I think this is only available from Boots. I've really enjoyed this colour in the past but I was really disappointed by the little amount of uses it lasted for before the polish ran out and also the brush is extremely small.
Lumiere...
This is a really cheap nail polish which I actually quite like because it has a good consistency and lasted for a fairly good few days on my nails.
Dazzle...
This is another cheap nail polish that also has a consistency like the Lumiere polish is a good nail polish considering its price and I really love its darkish aqua colour.
Claires...
I don't know what this polish's shade is but it's a really nice nail polish if you want a more jazzy look because of the added glitter/confetti in it.
Rimmel London Salon Pro by Kate...
This one has the best consistency out of all the polishes and is the one that seems to always last the longest. It also has a perfect sized brush that makes it really quick and easy to apply.
Ticket to gorgeous nails kiss me quick nail polish...
This has the exact same consistency as the other Ticket to gorgeous polish. This colour is very bold and I have to be in the right mood to wear this nail polish as it doesn't seem to go with many other colours.
Calvin Klein...
This is a perfect royal blue colour that has a kind of metallic hint to it. However, the polish doesn't seem to last too well and begins to chip about a day after being applied.
I hoped you enjoyed this post and be sure to stick around for more in the future! :)

Favourite Time Of The Day; Sunset

There's something about the sun looking as though it's sinking into the edge of the Earth's surface. It would always have me wondering as a kid, wondering what country it would be traveling to next. I know that what I thought wasn't scientifically correct, however it still fascinated me. Now that I'm slightly older it's not just the curiosity of the sun going down that draws me in but also the atmosphere of being able to chill or relax in the evening. Whenever the sky is clear, the setting sun never fails to give an array of beautiful orange and blue across the heavens.
Especially when the days are warmer, the cool and mild evenings motivate me to go for a walk or light jog. The feeling of going out at dusk somehow makes me feel safe as the lower surroundings are much calmer and dim whilst the sky is still lit by the disappearing glowing orange sun. Luckily the area I live in is pretty quiet, therefore there are no cars or traffic to ruin the effect.
The cooling air of the nightfall is always pleasant after a scorching hot day, especially if you've been outside and became slightly sunburnt during the sun's hottest moments. The fresh air outside definitely helps me to fall asleep in the evening as well.
Even when the sky isn't clear, the sun magnificently causes small clusters of clouds to glow a beautiful peachy colour. Also the trails left behind by jet planes create some kind of unique glowing pattern in the refreshing dusk sky.
Not only do I enjoy sunsets whilst at home as a way to relax in the evening but also when I'm holiday. One of my favourite things to do is have a campfire on the beach whilst watching the sun set on the sea's horizon as the clean salty sea breeze sweeps around me.

I hoped you enjoyed this post and be sure to stick around for more in the future! What's your favourite time of the day? :)

A Food Favourite: Creamy Butter Chicken

Ever since I was young, my family and I would always come together and have a meal where my grandparents cook for an evening once every month or so. Most of the time it would involve my grandad cooking baked potatoes and juicy chicken wrapped in foil on his homemade outside fire cooker. However my nan would occasionally cook this amazing curry which there would never be enough of and we'd always fight over who would get the last spoonful out of the serving dish. This curry is now my all time favourite homemade curry and recently I've been making this dish myself.
This curry is perfect for the family as it's not too spicy and, even if you do like spicy food, you can easily add a little bit more red chilli powder. It's also effortless to make, and very easy to make a lot of if you're feeding a bigger amount of people. The only downside to this dish is that the spices can end up being very expensive if you don't already own them. To go with this dish, I added a serving plain basmati rice with a garnish of coriander to add a bit more taste and colour. Although you can pretty much pair this curry with whatever choice of rice that you'd like to. Below is the recipe which I give credit to my nan for and if you do try out this dish; leave a comment or tweet me with your opinions and reviews.
Butter Chicken

Ingredients
1.5lb Boneless thigh or chicken pieces

Marinade sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp red chilli powder
2 tsp ginger and garlic paste
2 tsp tandoori masala
¼ salt
1 cup of yogurt

Sauce
28g unsalted butter
1 large cardamom pod
Bay leaf
Cinnamon stick or sprinkle
2 tsp ginger and garlic paste
2 large tomatoes (pureed) or ½ small tin of puree or ½ box passata
1 tsp sugar
½ red chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala
Green chilli (Optional)
Heavy whipped cream (Optional)

Method
  1. Cut chicken in pieces and wash well.
  2. Put all marinade ingredients in bowl and mix well - add chicken and mix again to cover all chicken pieces, and marinade in fridge - overnight if possible.
  3. Grease wok or large frying pan with oil and layer the chicken in a single layer. Cook on high for 5-7 minutes.
  4. For the sauce - in a medium size saucepan on low heat melt the butter.
  5. Once hot, add the cardamom, bay leaf and cinnamon, fry for 1 minute.
  6. Add the ginger and garlic paste and fry for 30 seconds.
  7. Add the tomato puree mix well - (green chilli).
  8. Add salt, red chilli powder and garam masala and mix well.
  9. Allow it to come to the boil and then lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  10. Add the sugar and cook for 2 minutes before adding the cooked chicken pieces.
  11. Add the whipped cream at this stage (if wanted) and bring to the boil.

I hoped you enjoyed this recipe and be sure to stick around for more blog posts in the future! :)
